Design for ODU

During my time at Ohio Dominican University (2012-2015) I did all of the exhibition design for Wehrle Gallery, but I was also often asked to do design work for the faculty. This was a great opportunity to use my design skills in such a prestigious context.  I was given room to be quite creative while expected to adhere to the branding and philosophy of the University.

This is a large wall vinyl design made to hang in Wehrle Gallery for the 2014-2015 year, setting the tone for the exhibition design to follow. I created the emblem at the bottom by manipulating certain letterforms of this particular Edwardian Script typeface. Measuring at 36" x 53".

Much of my design work went toward faculty development at ODU. I thought that the trading card platform was a creative and fun way to transmit information. It was a smash hit with the professors.

INTERIOR, 2014.

I used very popular typefaces (Wisdom Script and Nilland) with a classy and subdued color pallet to create visual interest in this schedule. I also used Wisdom Script (the bulk of the text is Nilland) instead of underlines or quotations -- a clever graphic design trick.

Valentine's Day trading Cards for ODU Faculty Development

Celebration of Scholarship Conference, 2014 -2015

Each measures roughly 3" x 5".

These were a huge hit with the administration and faculty.

I created this trading card trend, made cards for two years

and now it's an ODU tradition. Each year a student designer is chosen to design the faculty valentines for the year.
